Numbers in burnout have significantly grown over the past few years. Does this mean that burnout is better known and defined now? Quite the reverse, it has never been so much talked about and so little understood, defined and treated. This podcast is here to help you comprehend what burnout truly is, how to avoid it and how to recover fully from it.
I am Florence Parot, sophrology practitioner, coach, author and burnout specialist. I went into burnout myself aged 23. Thanks to sophrology and other complementary therapies, I rebuilt myself step by step. After working for many years in high-performance environments within Strategy Consulting and International Logistics there came a time when I realised I wanted something else from life, I needed to truly discover myself and live a life that would be more meaningful for me. Here I was, back inside for some deep soul searching. Both times, after the burnout and when building a new life, I was lucky enough to be able to rely on sophrology, an amazing mind-body technique that is both super simple and fantastically efficient. Both times, it delivered, and I realised that time that it was the moment for me to lead the way for others with this technique. I became a coach and sophrologist myself. Very quickly and very naturally, working with people in burnout or at risk of it became my thing. I also created 2 Sophrology training centres: The Sophrology Academy in the UK in 2010 and a school in central France in 2021. I am also the author of several Sophrology books.
I am French, have lived more than 10 years in the UK, also speak fluently Spanish and Italian so I wanted this podcast to be international. You will therefore find some episodes are in English and others in French. Solo episodes will be recorded in both languages. When another expert is invited, they will be in the expert’s language.
